Aerospike’s NoSQL Database Technology Helps Experian Secure Digital Identity - Identity Review - Identity Review | Global Tech Think Tank

Aerospike, a provider of next-generation, real-time NoSQL data solutions, is bringing its technology to Experian, a global information services company, to fight fraud more efficiently. They announced earlier last week that their Cloud Managed Service is now available for Experian’s Crosscore integrated digital identity and fraud risk platform.

Businesses nowadays need to process huge amounts of data in real time to provide a fast and seamless customer experience. Nowhere is this more apparent than in Experian’s Crosscore, the platform that integrates all of Experian’s identity and fraud services. The platform consolidates and processes huge volumes of fraud risk signals within milliseconds to help protect customers without compromising user experience.

“Identity and fraud risk management requires real-time assessment and decisioning on large volumes of continuously changing datasets,” said Guillaume Colombier, Senior Director of Engineering, Global Identity & Fraud, Device Intelligence and Fraud Detection Solutions at Experian. “Aerospike Cloud Managed Service fits Experian’s cloud-first approach and enables us to help businesses improve response times and deliver a safe, convenient and frictionless customer experience.”

Big Data and Cybersecurity

It is estimated that about 2.5 quintillion bytes of data are produced on the internet everyday, with the number only increasing as technologies such as IoT and 5G become more prevalent. Big data has huge potential in helping companies identify cybersecurity risks and catch fraud early, but without sophisticated solutions to manage and store databases, the processing costs could grow in tandem with the exponential generation of data.

With Aerospike’s Cloud Managed Service technology, Experian Crosscore can focus on securing digital identity and stopping fraudsters without worrying about managing huge databases.

“Experian CrossCore is a prime example of the data-intensive digital transformation underway today. High-scale and accurate real-time decisioning is imperative to delivering instant, seamless and secure customer experiences,” said John Dillon, CEO of Aerospike. “Aerospike’s Cloud Managed Service makes it easy for organizations to capitalize on data in the cloud and deploy the next generation of instant, data-intensive decisioning applications without technical distractions from their core business.”

With cyber attacks up 600% due to the COVID-19 pandemic, integrated cybersecurity platforms like Experian Crosscore are an essential guard against a plethora of 21st-century digital risks. Machine learning and AI are proving to be key technologies in defending against an ever-increasing array of threats, enabling companies to not only detect existing fraud, but also protect against unknown future attacks.
